Standard radiators
The most common radiators have two or three plates. There is more than 7 cm space between the plates. This is where you place the SpeedComforts at the bottom of the radiator. You click them in place with the handy magnetic sliders.
Smaller radiators
Do you have a radiator with less than 7 centimetres of space between the plates? Even then you can easily click the SpeedComfort underneath. To do this, pull the magnetic slider out of the SpeedComfort and put it back with the magnets facing upwards. Click in and you're done.
The SpeedComfort now hangs tightly under the radiator.
Single-plate radiators
If you have a single-plate radiator, pull the magnetic sliders out of the housing and place all four of them with the magnet up on one side. With the magnets against the back of the radiator, the SpeedComfort will hang tightly under it.
Convector or convector well
With each SpeedComfort you get 4 legs included. These are inside the casing. You can place these feet in the specially designed holes, with the foot in the longitudinal direction. Now you can place your SpeedComfort both on and under the convector block.
This is how SpeedComforts work
Universally applicable
SpeedComforts are suitable for almost all radiators and convectors. Thanks to the magnetic sliders, they fit almost all radiators. Use the feet in the casing to place them on the convector.
Automatic operation
SpeedComforts come with a thermostat switch that you click onto the radiator, near the hot water supply. The SpeedComforts switch on automatically when your radiator or convector gets hot. As soon as the temperature at the thermostat switch reaches 33 degrees, the fans start working automatically. At 25 degrees, they switch off again.
Quiet fan
SpeedComforts' fans are whisper quiet. They make less than 20 db of noise. This is less than the sound of rustling leaves.
Loss-free adapter
The supplied adapter is lossless. SpeedComforts are energy-efficient: they use about €0.32 in electricity per year.
Easy to install
SpeedComforts fit universally on most radiators and convectors. You easily place them under the radiator with the magnets. Or you place them on the convector on the feet from the housing. Then you place the sensor, also with magnets, on the heater close to the hot water supply and plug the adapter into the socket. Now you don't have to do anything more: the smart radiator fan switches on and off by itself at the right temperature.
What you need
Is it necessary to install as many SpeedComforts on all your radiators/convectors?
The answer is simple: no. Start with the living room. If you have other rooms where the heating is used a lot, it's useful to place our smart radiator fans there too.
Rule of thumb for the number of SpeedComforts to install
The number of SpeedComforts you need depends on the size of the room. For a bedroom of about 12 square metres (content +/- 30m3), one SpeedComfort is usually enough. For a larger room, you will need more.
Special circumstances
Radiators often find it difficult to bring heat into the room. For example, because the sofa is in front of it, a wide window sill above it, or because they are hidden behind a decorative surround. In these cases, SpeedComforts help extra because, despite these obstacles, they push that warm air into the room.
Connecting several SpeedComforts
Keep in mind, that you need an average length of 50 cm per SpeedComfort for installation. So on a 1.60m radiator/convector, you can fit three. You can connect up to 20 SpeedComforts using one adapter. Besides the complete packages, you will also find Extension sets in the web shop. These always include a 30 cm coupling cable.
How many you need is determined as follows: One SpeedComfort moves about 30m3 of air per hour. We want to circulate all the air in a room 1x per hour. This means that you need one SpeedComfort for a 30m3 room, two SpeedComforts for a 60m3 room and so on.
Calculation example to determine how many you need: a living room 5 metres wide, 8 metres long and 3 metres high has a volume of 120m3. You then choose a Trio set with Expansion set, or two Duo sets.
