The FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber comes with a matching fibre module (FRITZ!SFP AON with LC/APC socket) for point-to-point gigabit fibre connections. To securely distribute gigabit speeds wirelessly in the home, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber is equipped with the new Wi-Fi 6 standard. And a 2.5-gigabit LAN completes the high-speed equipment.
Innovative Wi-Fi 6 (Wi-Fi AX) for a home network with many Wi-Fi terminal devices
The new Wi-Fi 6 standard takes into account the ever-growing number of Wi-Fi devices. From smartphones, tablets, PCs, 4K TVs and speakers to smart lights, more and more devices are being used simultaneously in the Wi-Fi network. By reducing latency, Wi-Fi 6 ensures fast and stable data transmission. A total bandwidth of 2,400 Mbit/s in the 5GHz band and 600 Mbit/s in the 2.4GHz band is available for many parallel applications. At these high throughput speeds, Wi-Fi 6 also ensures longer battery life for the mobile devices in the home network.
Strong as a hub in the Mesh Wi-Fi network
As a Wi-Fi Mesh Central, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber is prepared for the highest demands in the home network. Several Wi-Fi points (e.g. FRITZ!Box and several FRITZ! Mesh repeaters) are joined together in the Mesh Wi-Fi network to form one smart Wi-Fi network. The FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber is the hub of the FRITZ! Mesh Wi-Fi network and actively controls all other access points, so that the Wi-Fi end devices used in the home network are always logged on to the access point with the best connection, Mesh Wi-Fi steering and Cross-band repeating.
Telephony options for everyone
The integrated VoIP telephone exchange has a connection for an analogue telephone and a DECT base station for up to six cordless phones (e.g. all FRITZ!Fon models). Even IP phones and smartphones become full-fledged phones via Wi-Fi that can be used to make calls on the cable connection. With an integrated answering machine, local and online directories and numerous convenience functions, telephony - also for professional applications - leaves nothing to be desired. Smarthome devices, such as the new four-way switch FRITZ!DECT 440 or the new LED lamp FRITZ!DECT 500, for example, can be integrated via the DECT base station.
